Johnson & Johnson offers $5.5bn to settle talc cancer lawsuits
Johnson & Johnson has proposed paying up to $5.5 billion to resolve tens of thousands of lawsuits claiming its talc-based baby powder caused ovarian cancer and other cancers. The settlement, if approved, would cover current and future claims from plaintiffs who allege long-term use of the product led to their illnesses.
