McIntosh breaks final 'supersuit' world record

Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh broke the last remaining world record from the high-tech 'supersuit' era, clocking 4:25.87 in the women's 400m individual medley. The previous mark, set by Stephanie Rice in 2008, had stood for over 15 years. This achievement closes a chapter on banned performance-enhancing swimsuit technology.
