Accel closes $550M India fund, oversubscribed, in weeks

Venture capital firm Accel has closed a new $550 million India-focused fund, which was oversubscribed and raised within weeks, just 19 months after its prior India fund. The rapid close signals strong investor appetite for Indian startups and gives Accel fresh capital to back early-stage companies in the region.
