Australia and India finalize uranium export deal

Australia has agreed to begin selling uranium to India for peaceful energy purposes, formalizing the deal during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The agreement strengthens bilateral energy cooperation but revives debate over nuclear non-proliferation, as India is not a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
